Bruce Herring, 82

Mr. C. Bruce Herring, 82, of Bostic, died Monday, March 9, 2020 at his residence.
Bruce was the son of the late Theodore "Ted" Herring and Johnnie Elizabeth Gaither Herring. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Edna Mae Shade-Herring and his brother, Theodore Melvin Herring. Bruce had been a very active member of his church Central Seventh Day Adventist Church in Columbus, OH, where he served as an elder, stewardship leader, and was very active in the youth programs. He was a member of the Good Samaritan Club and was an avid jogger.
He survived by his wife, Doreen Campbell Herring; his son, Bruce Kevin Herring and wife Rochelle, of Valero,CA;  his daughter, Tamberlyn Dawn Russell and husband Jerry, of Columbus, OH; his sisters, Doralyn E. Thomas and husband Milton, of Spotsylvania, VA, and Yvonne Elizabeth Hodges of Houston, TX; there are 4 grandchildren, Jord'on and wife Erica, C.B. Kevin II, Shanita and husband Yugo, and Shelli; 6 great grandchildren, Robert, Honesty, Sierra, Jordyn, Isabella, and Jord'on II.
The Funeral will be conducted at 12:00 pm Monday, March 16, 2020 at New Bethel AME Zion Church in Forest City. Pastor Ezra Mendinghall, and Pastor Tim Sheridan will officiate, and Bruce Kevin Herring will offer a eulogy.
The Visitation will be from 10:45 am until 11:45 am Monday at the church prior to the service.
