Ms. Bonnie June Towery McClain, 64, of Ellenboro, died Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Hospice Of The Carolina Foothills, Forest City.
Bonnie was the daughter of the late Bill and Madeline Towery. She had worked at Sunoco Plastics, was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and was a 1972 Graduate of East Rutherford High School.
She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Newton; her son, Steven McClain and wife Lynn, all of Ellenboro; her 3 sisters, Robin Atchley of Union Mills, Cathy Armstrong of Elkhart, IN, and Sally Daley of Milton-Freewater, OR; her 2 brothers, Billy Towery and Michael Towery, both of Bostic; there are 5 grandchildren, Diana Newton, Tasha Newton, Payton McClain, Caroline McClain, and Lyndsie Simmons.
The Funeral will be conducted at 4:00 pm Friday, September 14, 2018 at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home. The Rev. Owen Duncan will officiate. Burial will follow in the Eternal Hills Memorial Park. Pallbearers are D.J. Atchley, Tim Cannon, Doug Newton, and Logan Bradley.
The Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until 3:45 pm Friday at the funeral home prior to the service, at other times the family will gather at 1774 Oak Grove Church Road, Ellenboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
