Bob Jones, 90

Robert "Bob" Jones, 90, of Ellenboro, died Friday, February 16, 2024.

Bob and his late wife Wilma Poole Jones were married for 67 years. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Kate Keever Jones; his siblings, Arthur Lee Jones, Pink Jones, Clifford Jones, Jerry Jones, Charles Jones, Ray Keever, Rev. David Jones, Ted Jones, John Jones, Katie Lou Wells, and Rev. Perry Jones. Bob retired from Stonecutter after 42 years of service. He was a member of Walls Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughters, Yvonne Padgett and her husband John, of Bostic, and Kimberly Cathcart and her husband Thomas, of Spindale; his sisters, Emma Sue Ayers of Ellenboro, and Joann Blankenship of Union Mills; his 4 grandchildren, Aaron Vickers and his wife Summer, Lindsey Cash and her husband Jonathon, Ashlyn Vickers and her boyfriend Andrew Fisher, Brittney Cathcart and boyfriend Chris Cantrell; there are 2 great grandchildren, Eli Cash and Caroline Vickers; as well as 3 bonus grandchildren, 9 bonus great grandchildren, and 1 bonus great great grandchild.

The Funeral will be conducted at 3:00 pm Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Walls Baptist Church. The Rev. Jerry Causby and Rev. Bruce Caldwell will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Tim Jones, Danny Wells, Norris Hoyle, Jonathon Cash, Doyle Hollifield, and Andrew Fisher.

The Visitation will be from 6 pm until 8 pm Monday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.
