Bill Lemon, 87, of Rutherfordton, died Sunday, April 20, 2025.
He was widower of Jacqueline M. Lemon, and a son of the late John and Marie Scott Lemon. Bill was born in Red Bank, NJ and resided in Morganville and Farmdale, NJ before moving to North Carolina in 2000. He was a graduate of the 1956 Class of Red Bank Regional High School. Bill served in the US Army in Germany from 1957 to 1959 and was honorably discharged in 1963. He was an Episcopalian and a member of the American Legion. He retired from Schoor-DePalma as a Senior Inspector. An owner and breeder of beagle field champions, he was a former President of the New Jersey Association of Beagle Clubs; member of Lure Beagle Club in Spartanburg, SC; Iodine Sate and Brace Beagle Clubs. He was a 50 year member of the Navesink Lodge #9 of Free Masons, Red Bank, Millstone Elks #2613, and exempt member of Tinton Falls Fire Company #1 and a former member of the First Aid Squad in Tinton Falls, NJ.
The Visitation will be from 10 am until noon on Monday, April 28, 2025 at Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, NJ, and burial will follow at the Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls, NJ.
Washburn & Dorsey was in charge of local arrangements.
