Betty Marie Lail, 72

Betty Marie Lail, 72, died Friday, September 26, 2025.

She was the daughter of the late Elmer and Maggie Cook Lail, and was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Lail. Betty had retired from McCurry-Deck after many years as office manager. She was a member of Walls Baptist Church, where she was a choir member, the youth director at one time, and was church clerk for 30 years. 

She is survived by her sister, Pat Page and her husband Stephen, of Asheville; her nephew, Mark Page of Hendersonville; her niece, LuAda Malcom of Alpharetta, GA; 2 great nieces, and 4 great nephews; and numerous cousins. 

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Walls Baptist Church.  The Rev. Jerry Causby will officiate. A private urn burial will take place at a later date. 

The Visitation will be from 12:45 pm until 1:45 pm Wednesday at the church prior to the service.
