Barbara Jean Hunt Bumgarner, 87
Barbara Jean Hunt Bumgarner, 87, of Golden Valley, died Friday, April 9, 2021 at Fair Haven Home, Bostic.
She was the widow of Woodrow Bumgarner, and a daughter of the late Lonnie Pinkney Hunt and Vernie Propst Hunt. She was also preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, Randy Bumgarner and Xander Lawson; and 9 siblings. She was a member of Golden Valley Missionary Methodist Church.
Those left to cherish her memories include her sons, Bobby Bumgarner and his wife Teresa, and Bruce Bumgarner, all of Golden Valley; her daughter, Veronica Lawson and her husband Richard, of Forest City; there are 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
The Funeral will be conducted at 3:00 pm Monday, April 12, 2021 at the Golden Valley Missionary Methodist Church. The Rev. Lamar Hewitt and Rev. Kenneth Kanipe will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery off Hunt Road. Pallbearers are J.J. Sheldon, Richard Lawson, Brandon Hudson, Anthony Hudson, Jessie Hudson, and Nathan Bumgarner.
The Visitation will be from 1:30 pm until 2:45 pm Monday at the church prior to the service.
