Special memories will be the comfort to all the family and friends. Ms Vernelle was a special lady to so many. God bless you all as you walk this journey. We always loved to see her come into Sammy's Supermarket. She added a bright spot to our day.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. She was always very sweet to me, and probably one of the most stubborn people I have encountered. I count it a blessing to have known her. Thinking of you!

I worked with Vernelle at Skyland in my early 20’s. She was a great mentor for me. I have never after 40 some years forgotten her kindness.
May God give your family comfort during this difficult time.
