To the family: So very saddened to hear of Larry's passing. He was such a good man and we loved him. Of course, we remember him best from church at Salem; but, we also went on several excursions with the Seniors. Larry, on each occasion, drove the bus and we always stopped back by the ice cream shop in Columbus, N.C. We will be remembering the family in our thoughts and prayers as you experience this most difficult time. Happy for Larry as he is now at home in heaven with Jesus, his Lord and Savior, and all his family and friends who have gone before him.

Our family sends our deepest sympathy and love to the entire Philbeck family. Larry meant so much to our family. Daddy (Robert) has cried over his passing. He carries so many memories of working with him at Salem to build the fellowship hall and grading for the parking lots; not to mention years and years of work and friendship. There was no kinder, caring, loving soul. There was not a mean bone in his body and any ill-doing was unintentional. We loved to see Larry laugh ... just like Frances would shake with his whole body! We know Larry is home. We know Larry is reunited with Barbara, his Mama and Daddy and all his loved ones. It is our loss and sadness to live on earth without those we love. Until we meet again ....

No words, however heartfelt can take away your sorrow. But may the love and care that surround you ease you through the coming days. With love and prayers.

So many times Larry put others above himself. Giving of his time and resources to help others. Like his Mother Frances, Larry always had a smile or a laugh to share with others. He will be missed by his friends and family and all those whose path he crossed while in this life.
