MY dear Aunt Ruth , I along with many many more people will miss you. You was my second mama. As a child I depended on you for almost everything. Going to your mama's and daddy's house was always a treat. Larry and I would play for hours under the wonderful huge oak trees in their yard. You had a special way to sooth my fright when it was time to go to the doctor or dentist. You always had "chewing gum and "LIPSTICK". when uncle Lee started to work for Duke Power I was given the wonderful treat of staying with you and Larry from Monday evening till Friday. Your love for me and all children was unbelievable. To Larry, Caroline, Brice and Drake you are in my prayers and I love you all.

Larry and Caroline, so sorry to hear of Ruth's passing. My Mama helped her in teaching the beginner class at church for a few years. Ruth and Lee were good friends of my parents. Ruth was a sweet, special lady and an inspiration to me. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Larry, Carolina, Drake, and Bryce - I am so sorry for your loss. I know you will miss Mrs. Ruth, but she has gifted a sweet part of herself in the many people and especially the countless numbers of "her kids" that she taught throughout her long life. :) I have especially fond memories of the many Sunday mornings spent with her - when Drake and Bryce were preschool. I love you Mrs Ruth - I know you are enjoying seeing your family and all your many friends from Sandy Level - what a reunion!
