Dan was like a part of our family. He was the first pastor who assured me that my salvation was free that I didn't & couldn't work for it. We all loved him and Evelyn. Even after they moved from Covenant, we were blessed to be able to visit them. We pray God's wonderful comfort and peace for Dana and Gail and Kathy. He will be missed greatly.

We got to know Pastor Dan when he and his daughter Dan and son-in-law Gary attended Siler Presbyterian Church in Wesley Chapel, NC. He was a good and faithful man who was kind, always smiling, and a font of knowledge. We will all miss him.

I’m sending our deepest condolence. Your father truly was a man of God! When he walked in the pulpit you truly felt the Holy Spirit in the sanctuary. Your mother was a wonderful woman! I know they will be sadly missed. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting you in Tennessee with the Foster’s. Little Falls was truly blessed to have such a great minister in our community.

Love and prayers!

Dana, Gail and Kathy:
Prayers and thoughts are with you and the entire family. I am so sorry, but so glad that Dan did not have to linger and suffer longer. How the angels must have rejoiced to greet him, including Evelyn. We still miss your Mom so much and will miss Dan also. God's grace is sufficient for our every need, even this. Sorry I cannot be in Swannanoa with you but will certainly be holding you all in my heart. Love you, Ann Broom

I knew Dan and Reuben Sulc at CBC in our class of '52. I knew Evelyn Hennesee at Hopewell, VA, as a fellow teacher in West End Presby. Christian School. I knew when Dan and Evelyn began dating. I saw them at CIU Homecoming at our class reunion. Evelyn, especially, had the glory of God in her face. Didn't know a lot of their history, which I have learned from these other messages. After retirement, I followed them as all our class gave our updates to Mary Lee Walker, who continued to be our Class Secretary and kept us updated annually. Sad that they are now absent from the body but glad they are in His Holy Presence.
