Please accept my deepest sympathy to each of you. Theresa was a great woman who cared deeply for anyone she came in contact with (human or animal). She will be greatly missed by me, my (2) four legged children and the many others that she cared for. Theresa took care of my children for many years and always treated them as her own. Once while on vacation, while in her care, my smallest one became violently ill and "Momma Theresa" got her to the vet in time to save her life. She came through again in an emergency when my grandson had a 4-wheeler accident. I called her late on a Sunday night hoping she had room to take my kids. She did of course (whether or not I don't know); I took them over and left them for an indefinite period of time. She said not to worry, she would be there for them. She also groomed them for me. I will miss her kindness, friendship, smile and the comfort I felt when I left my kids with her. Please know that she was loved by many and she is now in Heaven.

Now the laborer’s task is o’er;
Now the battle day is past;
Now upon the farther shore
Lands the voyager at last.

Father, in Thy gracious keeping
Leave we now Thy servant sleeping.

I am so very sorry. This is such a tragedy.

I loved Teresa and will miss her terribly. I am so devastated by her loss. My prayers are with her family at this time. She was such a support to me and my animals when I had to be hospitalized. I want the family to know that I am available if they or her animals need anything.

As you know, Theresa was my cousin. When I lived in NC I did get
to see her oviously more often. I remember her as a child being
soft spoken and kind - she grew into a soft spoken kind adult.

I know she will be missed by all of you. I am shocked and sorry
to hear of her senseless murder!

Keep in touch when you can. Donna Proctor Long

I don't know where to begin because there are not enough words to say what I could say. I worked with Theresa very close for about 11 or 12 years.I watched her children grow up through conversation. She spoke of all her brothers and sisters, only wishing she could see them more. Her love for animals was beyond whatever could be expected. She loved her church and most of all, she loved her God. That is where she is now, with her Savior. Be not sad for her, but only for all of us that she has left behind. Be brave and courageous and trust God to get you through this tragedy.

''''''''May God Bless each one of you.

Miss Theresa was a wonderful person with a love for animals that goes beyond words. She was always friendly and smiling and more than willing to help when she could. She cared for my Lola like she was one of hers and we will miss her more than we can even imagine at this point. I know she is in a better place now.

I only ever knew Theresa through Facebook as a fellow animal Rescuer, whose main aim in life was to do good by the poor abandoned dogs that found their way into her care. They were so lucky to be taken in by an Angel like her. She was one of the best and will be greatly missed. God Bless you Theresa.

Almighty God, we remember before you today your faithful servant, Theresa; and we pray that, having opened to her the gates of larger life, you will receive her more and more into your joyful service, that with all who have faithfully served you in the past, she may share in the eternal victory of Jesus Christ our Lord; who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Most merciful God, whose wisdom is beyond our understanding: Deal graciously with Theresa's family in their grief. Surround them with your love, that they may not be overwhelmed by their loss, but have confidence in your goodness, and strength to meet the days to come; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We knew Theresa through her grooming our dog. She recently told us she thought our dog had diabetes.. we took her to the vet and she was right. I could not wait to get the dog back to Theresa so she could see how much better baby is doing. She literally saved babys life although I do not know any of her family I feel like i do as she talked about you all the time and she absolutely adored her grandbabies.. she would say "they will be my babies forever, I don't care how old they get".
we are heartsick for your loss we have shed tears,said prayers and really been angry ( sorry but it is true) God be with all of you- our loss is definitely heavens gain

Words cannot express the sorrow felt when I heard about Theresa. She was an amazing woman who loved everyone she met but more importantly loved God. Throughout everything she remained brave till the end. Her children and grandchildren were her life. Michelle she loved you as her own and thought so highly of you and Chip, she was so proud of her Marine. Time will heal the wounds of losing your mother, grandmother and friend but her memory will never be forgotten. May God bless you during this difficult time. Reach out to friends and family, we are all here for you.

Theresa brought one of my greatest blessings into my life when she called me and told me about a rescue dog that she had just gotten...I fell immediately in love with my Tucker that day. I called her every day for two weeks to make sure that no one claimed him. When she called with that sweet voice and told me to come get him, I was so excited. Theresa had such a big heart for animals. I am sure God will let her help take of them in Heaven. My heart aches for her loss and I pray God will comofort the hearts of all her family.

To Theresa's family - I want to express my deepest sympathy to you. It's so hard to understand why someone as loving and compassionate as Theresa was taken away. She did so much good in this world and was loved by so many. I'm so very sorry for your loss.

My thoughts and prayers are with her family. Theresa had a love for animals. She was so kind and gentle with my family''s pets, two German Shepherds, Sonny and Buster. Sonny is no longer living now, but he spent time at the kennel when my family would be on vacation. Buster was there this past July for 2 separate weeks when my family was on vacation. She even took time to email to me pictures of Buster playing in the front part of the kennel with another dog. She will be missed by her family and friends!!

Theresa was such a loving human being whether it was to a human or animal. Teresa has helped me in times when I had a problem and was always so willing to help. Lord place a hand on Teresa's family as they go thru this ordeal. I am going to miss not having you around but, I know that God called Theresa home to do a honorable job for him. He needed a person that would care and stand beside the furry friends that are waiting at the rainbow bridge. I know she will give the same love and care as she did on this earth. When we get to the bridge I know along with the babys I have had I know I will also find Theresa there being a momma to them until we can return and take care of them. Until we meet again I know you will be happy and not afraid ever again.

Therea,
Although I didn't know you, I too work to save animals. I know how much time, money and care thousands have received because of your tireless work in trying to find homes for those who have none. Please rest now knowing your work is much appreciated, and you'll be terribly missed. I know you'll be one of many angels, watchin over our pets until we can be reunited with them once again. Thank you!

Ty and I still struggle desperately with the loss of Theresa. This was so cruel and senseless. Theresa was one of the kindest souls that we have had the fortune to call a friend. She loved our dog, Lightning, as her own and was there for us in our emergency needs. Theresa loved unconditionally and we all should use her example as a guide for our own behavior. God bless this family and hold them tightly as they go through this hardship.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I knew Theresa for fourteen years, and she cared for my dogs many times. She took care of them like they were her own, and I trusted her completely. Once, the dogs stayed with her for six weeks and another time they stayed for five. They loved her!
I remember Theresa with a smile on her face and so much love to give. She was awesome in every way.
My prayers are with her family and friends right now. God bless you all.

Its hard to find the words, it is just so unbelievable that Theresa will no longer be around to share the many dog and cat stories, grooming tips, laughs and sorrows. She really loved her family !!! She actually had many families. She fit perfectly into each and every family she came in contact with. Every person or pet that had the privilege to come in contact with Theresa could feel the warmth of her heart and sincerity in her voice. My condolences to her family and I pray that they find comfort knowing Theresa Loved them so very much !!! She was so proud of each and everyone of them. God Bless You Theresa, I miss you dearly.

Cooper, Chip, Sherrie, Michelle and Grandchildren:
I am so saddened by the loss of my treasured friend of 32 years. I have watched the two of you grow up to be fine men who blessed your Mom with 4 beautiful grandchildren whom she adored with all her heart. Candidly, we went through horses, husbands, houses and dogs together, supporting each other and loving each other through all the hardships of our lives; and, I too, am lost for words. Your mother loved her God, her family, her Church, her Community and every animal she either cared for or help to place in loving homes and the world has certainly lost a Saint. She was a Faithful Servant and I know that right now in heaven, she has already taken charge, and is taking care of all those who have gone before her human and animal in her special "Mother Theresa" way. We are praying for each of you daily and love you very much.

She always spoke of her boys and their families and her grandchildren which were the highlights of her life.Cooper and Chip if there is anything I can ever do please don't hesittate to call on me.May God be with you all in this time of sorrow and May Theresa now rejoice at the throne of our Lord with all those she loved who had gone on before her.God Bless you all.

I cannot express the shock and sorrow I am feeling over this loss. Theresa was more like family than most of the people I call friends. All of my critters would always perk up and carry their leases to the door in the mention of getting to go visit Mother Theresa. She also witnessed to me and helped me grow in my relationship with God. Theresa was one of a kind special individual that helped the world be a better place. I intend to find out what can be done to keep her legacy alive. All Dogs In Heaven now have the best keeper of all. My deepest condolences to her family. Gad Bless and please watch over us from this point on. She is truely missed.
