Mrs. Susie Robinson Smart, 84, of Ellenboro, died Tuesday, November 8, 2011.
She was the widow of Erastus V. Smart, and daughter of the late Frank and Eddie A. Robinson.
She is survived by two daughters, Connie Terry of Ellenboro and Barbara Smith of Gastonia; four sisters, Bernice Goode of Maiden, Judy Jones of Ellenboro, Betty Lattimore and Reba Lattimore, both of Rutherfordton; three brothers, Roger Robinson of Bostic, Jack Robinson Sr.  and Paul Robinson, both of Ellenboro; there are two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The Funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Corinth Baptist Church. Rev. David Jendrey and Rev. Ad Hopper to officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The Visitation will be from 6 PM until 8 PM Wednesday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.

I'm so thankful that her smile and laughter will live on through you girls. I wonder what that heavenly thimble looks like she will get to add to her collection.

She will be missed but never forgotten by any of us who loved her. Sure wish I was closer to give you both a hug but I know her sisters will do that plenty.

I thank God for having the privilege of knowing such a wonderful woman as Mrs. Susie Smart.She was always there for me and all my family growing up and helped us on so many occasions.I loved her with all my heart as she was such an honest and caring neighbor.I know that she is very happy to be able to rejoice with her husband,mother, and father in the kingdom of God.
Our prayers go out for the family here on earth who have to go through this difficult time and feel such a great loss.She will be missed by all of us and I want to say that if there is ever anything I can do for any of the family please do not hesitate to call on me.Barbara and Connie May God be with you and watch over you. I want to say I am sorry for the loss of Susie Smart.I will miss her so much and I am so glad to have such fond memories of her that I will cherish forever.My prayers go out to all the family May God Bless you all and be with you.

Susie was a "2nd" Mama to me. She was one of God's many blessings in my life and she will be so sadly missed. Her positive outlook, cheerful smile and wisdom have steered many a young person toward the right decision. Everytime I ever visited her, I was the one that left feeling much better and more cheerful.
Connie and Barbara you are both are in my daily prayers. I love you both dearly and wish I could have made it up there to be with you. May God Bless hold you close in his comforting arms.
